The Days of Noah
MATTHEW 24:37 – “But as the days of Noe (NOAH) were, so shall also the COMING of the Son of Man be”.
“COMING” – In the Original Greek, this word “COMING” is a technical expression to describe “The visit of a king or emperor, who alone can deal with a situation”. This means that when Christ Jesus finally comes again, He will show up with the authority needed to right every wrong in the world. That’s good news! By the time the “THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST JESUS” occurs, there will be a lot of wrongs that will need to be corrected. Christ Jesus emphatically said that the conditions in the world at the “End of the age” – just before “His Second Coming” – will indeed be very similar to the conditions that existed in the world before He judged the world by a flood.
LUKE 17:26 – “And as it was in the days of Noe (Noah), so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man”.
MATTHEW 24:38 – “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the Ark”.
LUKE 17:27 – “They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage (Divorced), until the day of Noe (Noah) entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all”.
“Eating and drinking” and “Marrying and being given in marriage”, these phrases describe the people living life “Normally”. The return of Christ Jesus will suddenly disrupt their lives and call them to personal judgment. People living in Noah’s days were unprepared for the flood. Similarly, most people living just before “The Second Coming of Christ Jesus” will be unprepared for the judgment that will follow Jesus’ return, and they will perish in it.
MATTHEW 24:39 – “And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away so shall the coming of the Son of Man be”.
LUKE 21:36 – “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man”.
MATTHEW 24:42 – “WATCH THEREFORE:for ye know not what hour your Lord does come”.
This means no one is able to predict the exact day and exact time when Jesus will come for His church before the judgment in the seven year “Great Tribulation” period of time is unleashed. However, this doesn’t mean that we can’t have a prophetic sense of timing, or if we pay attention to the “Signs”, that Jesus gives us in MATTHEW 24, MARK 13; LUKE 21 – and to the list of “Signs”, that the Apostle Paul gave us in 2 TIMOTHY 3 – we then, can gauge how close we are, even if we cannot predict the exact day or moment of His coming.
Christ Jesus pleads with us to be attentive and “Watchful” – and not to be like the people in Noah’s day, before the flood, who disregarded the warnings and suffered as a result. In fact, the word “WATCH” means: “To be attentive, on your guard, and watchful. It denotes one who is on the lookout and on high alert. It pictures one who is determined not to be taken off guard”.
NOAH LIVED IN A TIME OF EXPLODING POPULATION – JUST LIKE TODAY
The Biblical account of Noah begins in GENESIS 6. Approximately 1,600 years had passed since the creation of Adam and Eve (GENESIS 1:26, 27). As the earth’s Population exploded in number, it also exploded with evil. Long forgotten was the “Righteous Sacrifice” of Abel, in Genesis 4:4.
GENESIS 6:1 – “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them”.
NOAH LIVED IN A TIME OF INCREASED DARK DEMONIC SPIRITUAL ACTIVITY – “THE SONS Of GOD” BECAME UNFAITHFUL TO GOD AND PRODUCED “MEN OF RENOWN”
GENESIS 6:2 – “That the SONS OF GOD saw the DAUGHTERS OF MEN that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose”.
Though this interpretation of this Scripture is contested, I believe that “The Sons of God” were “Angels”, who left their proper place in Heaven (JUDE 6) and had physical relationships with the women on earth, a form of sexual disorder that was most hateful to God. The expression “Sons of God” (JOB 1:6; JOB 2:1; JOB 38:7) refers to “Angels” who had access to the presence of God. Also, the “Sons of God” is a term for “Angels “and is a standard “Semitic” expression. Notice also, the words “Even as Sodom and Gomorrah”, at the beginning of JUDE 7, immediately after the description of the “Fallen angels”. This unholy relationship produced “Hybridized humans”, that were “Giants and “Men of renown” (GENESIS 6:4) and haters of God. “RENOWN” is the Strong’s Hebrew word # 8034, and is pronounced in English as “SHAME”, but means “Reputation, fame and glory” in Hebrew.
Ephesians 6:12 – “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”.
Satan has always sought to corrupt the “Image of God”. In the “Garden”, he tempted Eve with the promise that she would be “Like God” (GENESIS 3:5). In GENESIS 6, he attempts to destroy the “Messianic bloodline” through “Hybridization”. Now, in the modern age, he is inspiring a new generation of scientists to remake humanity, once again in a counterfeit “Image of God”.
NOAH LIVED AT A TIME OF TRANSHUMANISM – JUST LIKE TODAY
GENESIS 6:4 – “There were GIANTS in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the SONS OF GOD came in unto the DAUGHTERS OF MEN, and they bear children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of RENOWN”.
“Transhumanism” is a pursuit of merging human biology with (science) technology, and is another area where modern advancements intersect with Bible prophecy. By attempting to “Upgrade” humanity, transhumanists echo the Satan’s ancient lie: “You can become like God” (GENESIS 3:5). Technologies like “Neurolink”, would seek to connect the human brain to computers, blurring the lines, between humanity and machine, paving the way for the “Dehumanizing control mechanisms”, that will be needed in the near future; for Satan to seek dominance over mankind and near universal worship by mankind, of Satan, as described in REVELATION 13!
Even mainstream Bioethicists have warned that humanity is venturing into dangerous territory. Once we cross the line of “Germline Editing” (Modifying DNA in ways that are passed on to future generations), we are engaging in permanent alterations of the human species. This is not simply technological innovation, but it is rebellion against God and is a new form of “Genetic idolatry”.
NOAH LIVED IN A TIME, WHEN SIN HAD SATURATED THE CULTURE – EVIL WAS CONTINUALLY IN THE HEARTS OF MAN
GENESIS 6:5 – “And God saw that the wickedness of man was GREAT in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of the heart was only evil CONTINUALLY”.
GENESIS 6:6 – “And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart”.
As evil reproduced and overtook the world, the most merciful act that God could perform was to start over. It Is interesting, that God allowed Noah, nearly 100 years to complete the building of the “Ark”.Through all that time, God patiently waited (1 PETER 3:20). Scripture seems to imply that Noah preached to the people, of that time, about what was coming (HEBREWS 11:7). But they did not believe Noah and were CONTENT, with their wickedness and idolatry. Their hearts were hard and their ears were dull. No one repented, and no one cared to seek God.
NOAH LIVED IN A TIME WHEN THE WHOLE EARTH WAS “CORRUPTED” – JUST LIKE TODAY
GENESIS 6:7 – “And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fouls of the air; for it repentance me that I made them”.
BUT NOAH FOUND GOD’S GRACE IN HIS LIFE
GENESIS 6:8 – “BUT NOAH FOUND GRACE IN THE EYES OF THE LORD”.
“GRACE” – Is the Strong’s Hebrew word # 2580, it is found 69 times in the Old Testament Bible and means “Grace, favor”. This proves that “Grace”, is not only a New Testament doctrine, but rather the “FULLNESS” (ABUNDANCE AND COMPLETENESS) OF GRACE”, came by Christ Jesus (JOHN 1:17; 1 PETER 1:10 – 12).
The first person, in the Old Testament Bible, to find “God’s Grace (Favor)”, was Noah (GENESIS 6:8) and the last person who would find “God’s Grace (Favor)”, in the Old Testament Bible, was prophetically spoken of in Zechariah 12:10:
ZECHARIAH 12:10 – “And I (Jehovah) will POUR UPON the House of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, THE SPIRIT OF GRACE AND OF SUPPLICATION:and they shall look upon me (Jehovah) whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one morning for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn”.
This is a prophetic word, concerning the “Spirit of Grace (Favor)”, being “Poured out”, right before “The Second Coming of Christ, In which, “The Spirit of Grace (Favor)” will be poured out upon the Hebrew people, in the nation of Israel, right before the nation’s ALMOST DEMISE, and this will be the “Place” (Time); where the Jewish people, living at this time, will find “Peace” (The Peace of God), in their lives and where all of the Jewish people, living in Israel, that survived at this time, will be “Born Again”!
It will also be the fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy (JOEL 2:28), when the nation of Israel will be “Born again in a day” (ISAIAH 66:7, 8). The Hebrew people will “Mourn and Repent” for 2 days and continue into the “THIRD DAY”, when God will “Raise them up in His sight” (HOSEA 6:1 – 3). Then, they will say “Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord” (MATTHEW 23:37 – 39). All of Israel shall be “Saved” (In the fullness of the definition of this word), at this time and Christ Jesus will Come, from His Heavenly “Mount Zion”, to the earthly one (ROMANS 11:25 – 29).
Thus, the national conversion of Israel will occur at “The End of Times of the Gentiles”, or the end of “The Fullness of the Gentiles” (LUKE 21:24), control over Israel, and it will also be the end of Israel’s rebellion against God, forever.
BUT, all those that have lived before these times and all those leading up to these times, who are either, Jew or a Gentile, will already have the “Spirit of Grace (Favor) and Supplication” on/in their lives – who has a heart to “Obey his Commandments” and who God says is His “Friends” (JOHN 15:14,15)!
NOAH LIVED IN A TIME OF VIOLENCE – JUST LIKE TODAY
GENESIS 6:11 – “And the earth also was CORRUPT BEFORE GOD, and the earth was filled with VIOLENCE”.
MATTHEW 24:43 – “BUT KNOW THIS, that if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up”.
MATTHEW 24:44 – “Therefore be ye also ready:for in such an hour as you think not the Son of Man cometh”.
MATTHEW 24:45 – “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord had made ruler over his household, to give them meat and due season”?
MATTHEW 24:46 – “Blessed is a servant, whom his Lord when he comes shall find him doing”.
MATTHEW 24:47 – “Verily I say unto you, that he shall make him ruler over all his goods”.
MATTHEW 24:48 – “But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, MY LORD DELAYETH HIS COMING”;
MATTHEW 24:49 – “And so begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken”;
MATTHEW 24:50 – “The Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of”,
MATTHEW 24:51 – “And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites:there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (in Hell)”.
Christ Jesus instructs His disciples, but now stressed the importance of “Prudence and faithfulness”, as He prepared them for His “Return”. The “Servants” (Friends), were the disciples that got “Called and entrusted, with the responsibility of managing His affairs, during His absence from the earth. Some “Servants”, will be “Faithful, wise and prudent” (MATTHEW 7:24 – 27); MATTHEW 10:16). They will carry out God’s will for them, including “Feeding the world”, with the “Gospel”, When Jesus returns, these “Faithful Servants”, will be blessed with objects of God’s favor and consequently be thankful and joyful. Moreover, Jesus will promote them to positions of greater responsibility in the kingdom that He will establish.
