Have We Come Yet to the Prophetic “Seven-Year Peace Agreement” in “the End Times”?
DANIEL 9:27 – “And HE (THE ANTICHRIST) shall confirm the COVENANT WITH MANY (NATIONS) for ONE WEEK (SEVEN YEARS); and in the MIDST (MIDDLE) OF THE WEEK (3 AND A HALF YEARS) HE (THE ANTICHRIST) shall cause the SACRIFICE AND THE OBLATION TO CEASE….”
Something extraordinary is unfolding in the Middle East right now – something that has the attention of both political analysts and Bible believers around the world.
On October 9th, 2025, Israel and Hamas agreed to what is being called the “FIRST PHASE” OF A PEACE DEAL – a 20-point plan involving ceasefires, troop withdrawals, prisoner exchanges, and promises of humanitarian aid. At first glance, it looks like a step towards a long-awaited “PEACE”. But those who know Scripture, this deal may be more than political; it may be prophetic!
THE COVENANT WITH MANY NATIONS
The Prophet Daniel foresaw a time when a powerful world leader would confirm a covenant with many nations for “One week” – a prophetic “Week”, representing 7 years. Many prophecies students believe this covenant will mark the beginning of “The Great Tribulation”, a time of false “Peace”, that soon collapses, and global chaos ensues.
This current peace deal isn’t just between Israel and Hamas. But behind the scenes, multiple nations are involved – the United States, Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and others- and it makes this covenant, a covenant with many nations. Sound familiar?
This is not the first “Peace effort” in the region, but it is the first in recent history that combines global mediation, prisoner releases, withdrawal of troops, and humanitarian agreements – all under the watchful eye of the world leaders, eager to claim a diplomatic victory. It carries the language of confirmation, not creation – stressing or confirming existing peace frameworks, like the “Abrahamic Covenant Accords”, rather than writing something entirely new.
PEACE AND SAFETY – THEN SUDDEN DESTRUCTION
The Apostle Paul warned us long ago:
1 Thessalonians 5:3 – “For them they shall say, PEACE and SAFETY; then SUDDEN DESTRUCTION cometh upon them”.
Isn’t that exactly what we’re hearing today? World leaders speak confidently of SAFETY, SECURITY, AND LASTING PEACE, yet beneath the surface, tensions are boiling. And the prophetic time clock is ticking!
THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK
According to Daniel’s Vision, halfway through the seven-year covenant, the Temple sacrifices will “Cease”, and “The Abomination of Desolation” will occur, the moment the Antichrist reveals his true nature, in the yet future Jewish temple in Jerusalem. At the middle point (three and a half years) into “The Great Tribulation. When the false peace shatters, persecution and God’s judgment begins to fall upon the nations of the earth.
If this 2025 peace deal develops into a “Seven-year covenant” or serves as its “Foundation”, then we may be witnessing the very stage being set that Daniel saw thousands of years ago!
A TIME TO WATCH AND PRAY
Christ Jesus warns his followers to “Be not deceived” (MATTHEW 24:4-13) and to “Watch and Pray” (MATTHEW 26:41).
Peace in the Middle East will sound beautiful, and to the world, it will appear as a diplomatic triumph. But for the spiritually awake, it could be the calm before the storm.
REVELATION16:15 – “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame”.
With the nearness of Christ Jesus’s return, I would have to believe that somehow, this new peace plan in the Middle East will be the FOUNDATION OR STARTING POINT of the prophetic “Seven-year peace treaty”, amongst many nations!
As a peace plan unfolds, believers must stay alert, be rooted in Scriptures, and be anchored to Christ Jesus. We are not called to be fearful but to discern the signs of His soon return.
THE PROPHETIC INSIGHTS AND WHAT TO WATCH FOR NEXT – NOT NECESSARILY IN THIS ORDER:
(1). THE CONTINUED PUSH FOR A ONE WORLD RELIGION
With the recent series of Roman Catholic Popes pushing for a “One world religion”, with protestant denomination seemingly interested in combining, and the “Abrahamic Covenant Accords”, it could be easily seen that we’re heading to “One world religion”, under a charismatic religious leader such as the future “False prophet”. It is easy to see this happening, as mentioned in REVELATION 13:11-15; REVELATION 16:13-16; REVELATION 19:20.
(2). THE RISE OF A GLOBAL LEADER
DANIEL 7:8 and REVELATION 13 describe a powerful world figure rising out of the nations, speaking “Great things”. This man will appear as a peacemaker – perhaps even helping to confirm the covenant with many nations. Watch for a leader who seems to bring “Stability” amid “Chaos”.
(3). THE POSSIBILITY OF A BEGINNING FRAMEWORK, FOR THE FUTURE “SEVEN-YEAR PEACE PLAN”, FROM “THE ANTICHRIST” WITH MANY NATIONS SIGNING ON TO IT
The 2025 peace deal may not be the “Peace Covenant” of DANIEL 9:27, BUT IT COULD LEAD TO IT! If this initial agreement expands into a peace plan, with a formal seven-year framework involving multiple nations and guarantees Israel’s “Security and Peace”, then those are taking Bible prophecy seriously should take note.
(4). THE CONTINUED TALK OF A THIRD TEMPLE
The next big thing in Bible prophecy, since Israel became a nation in 1948, will be the building of “The Third Temple” in Jerusalem. This probably indicates that the “Sacrifices” will one day resume in Jerusalem, meaning a temple must exist (2 THESSALONIANS 2:3,4; DANIEL 9:27). Keep your eye on the news concerning the rebuilding of the temple, its furnishings, and the priestly preparations in Israel.
(5). THE CONTINUED PUSH TOWARDS A ONE WORLD SYSTEM
REVELATION 13 warns of a global economic and political order under the Antichrist’s rule. Notice how there is growing talk of a digital currency, an international ID system, and a unified government for “GLOBAL PEACE”!
(6). SIGNS IN THE HEAVENS AND ON EARTH
LUKE 21:25 – “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring”;
Christ Jesus said: “There shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars, and UPON THE EARTH DISTRESS OF NATIONS, WITH PERPLEXITY (NATIONS WILL BE IN A QUANDARY – NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO); THE SEA AND WAVES ROARING (RECORD SETTING HURRICANE MELISSA JUST HAPPENED)”.
(7). THE FURTHER THREAT OF WAR FROM ISRAEL’S NORTH
Despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire, having officially been in place for over a year now, in Lebanon, Israel has been steadily ratcheting up its aerial attacks in southern Lebanon, against what it says are Hezbollah and terror targets, resulting in scores of casualties.
Syria, with the blessings of Russia, and backed by Turkey and several Arab countries, has launched a diplomatic campaign to gain international recognition of its sovereignty over the “Golan Heights” and to return the territory to its control. The move runs counte,r to ongoing security negotiations between Syria and Israel.
Israel annexed the Golan Heights by law in 1981 and considers it fully sovereign Israeli territory. That sovereignty was recognized by President Donald Trump during his first term, through a 2019 presidential proclamation. As a gesture of appreciation, the Israeli government announced the establishment of the community of “Trump Heights” in the Golan Heights.
COULD THIS BE THE BEGINNING OF THE PROPHETIC WAR WITH ISRAEL AND THE “NORTHERN NATIONS”, WHERE THIS OPPOSING ARMY AGAINST ISRAEL IS NEARLY DESTROYED IN THE “MOUNTAINS OF ISRAEL” (EZEKIEL 39:4), AND THAT IS MENTIONED IN CHAPTERS 38 AND 39 OF EZEKIEL?
STAY AWAKE AND STAY ANCHORED TO GOD AND HIS WORD
Prophecy is given to us, not to make us fearful or afraid, but to remind us that GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL. Every peace treaty, every tremor, every headline moves the world one step closer to Christ Jesus’ return!
LUKE 21:28 – “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your Redemption draweth nigh”.
